Feast of Tabernacles 2008
As the spring Holy Days approach, it seems like a good time to relfect on the past Feast of Tabernacles. The above picture is taken from a magnet that was given to all the families that came. This past year we had brethern come from Eastern Missouri, Mississippi and Nebraska.It was a wonderful time!

Scriptures for N.T. Holy Days
The Feasts are God's Feast Days not the Jews' Feast Days. Lev 23:1-4, 31-41.
God commanded them to be observed FOREVER. These days were ordained BEFORE the Sabbath was given to Israel, Exodus 12-13. Ex 13:9 a sign of God's people. Ex.31:13 the annual Sabbaths (plural of Sabbath) are a sign of God's people.
THE MESSIAH (JESUS CHRIST) observed all of God's Holy Days including the Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread, The Feast of Tabernacles and The Last Great Day. Luke 2:41-42 and John 7:1-2, 37.
The NEW TESTAMENT APOSTLES kept the Holy Days, Acts 12:3, 20:6, I Cor.5:6-8, Acts 2:1, 20:16, I Cor. 16:8 and Acts 27:9, 18:21. Paul told the Gentile Colossians not to let anyone condemn or judge them for observing a Holy Day. Col.2:16.
Paul kept the Old Testament laws which include the Holy Days. Acts 21:20-24, 24:14.

Welcome to this blog
We are Glad you decided to come to this blog and read it. We hope to put a considerable amount of information on this blog for you. Most will not read this and will not benefit from it. You however that do read it will be at an advantage.
Read our blog. It will put you ahead with God's truth and not mans interpretations. You can be sure of this by checking the Bible for yourself. You do not have to ask your minister if Jesus Christ is correct or not. Some ministers want to make the Bible so complicated that you have to rely on them. We want to expand on our ministry. We know now that times are hard and they always have been when it comes to giving to the Work of God. The benefits are great according to the Word of God.

Which day is the Lord's Day?
The only time the Bible uses the phrase "The Lord's Day" is in Revelation 1:10. "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet...,"
Many preachers will speak about the Lord's Day when refering to Sunday, but are they right?
Which day is the Lord's Day?
Let our Lord and Saviour answer that question in Mark 2:27-28 - "And He said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.'"
He says He is Lord of the Sabbath, NOT Sunday!
Now some might ask which day of the week does the Sabbath fall on. Others will say that the death of Christ changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. What does the Bible record for us?
Matt.28:1 - "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb." This scripture is after the death of Christ and says that the Sabbath and Sunday (first day of the week) are seperate days!
Jesus Christ is Lord of the Saturday Sabbath day. The seventh day of the week (Saturday), is the Lord's Day.

Sermon notes on Love
Let's start the sermon today with two of the most inspiring scriptures in the Bible.
Rom. 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
1Co 2:9 "But as it is written: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'"
Now let's turn to two scriptures with promise.
James 1:12 "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him."
James 2:5 "Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?"
Now having looked over those four verses, what is the common denominator? To those who love God, certain things will happen. What does it mean to love God? How do you love God? One way to love God is found in I John 4:20.
I John 4:20 "If someone says, 'I love God,' and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?"
We can see why church jumping because of personality conflicts is not good. If you are going from here to there because you can no longer get along with your brother...if you can no longer say you love your brother...how can you love God.
Lets turn to Matt.22:37-39
Matt. 22:37, 39 "Jesus said to him, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
How does the Bible say to love your neighbor as yourself?
Rom. 13:9 "For the commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not bear false witness,' 'You shall not covet,' and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Rom. 13:10 "Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. "
"to fulfil, i.e. to cause God's will (as made known in the law) to be obeyed as it should be, and God's promises (given through the prophets) to receive fulfilment ... a fulfilling, keeping" - Strong's Concordance
James 2:8 "If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself,' you do well;"
Now in Romans 13:9 Paul told us that keeping those 5 commandments showed love to our neighbor. We know the fifth commandment is directed towards our parents. So that leaves 4 other commandments. Who do they show love towards? GOD!!!
